After school tonight
We've had a few birthdays in the school group lately and to celebrate this we thought it would be nice if the kids and parents of the school group could go to one of the local cafe's in kandallah and have tea after school today. Hope we have the full group at school today!
Svenskkul started in 2005 by a group of mothers who found it difficult to keep the Swedish language alive, especially among school-age children. Most of them don't grasp why they would need to speak Swedish. The idea behind Svenskkul is that speaking Swedish should be fun. The children should get to know other Swedish children and feel a part of a Swedish community. At the same time there was a need to be able to help each other teach the kids to read Swedish, to give them a chance to study in Sweden should they want to. And so that they can read Bamse. :-)
