Svenskkul Event page - put on hold

Svenskkul has closed down the school sessions. If you a keen to start up the school again we have some material stored to help you get started. Please contact svenskkul_info@sweden.org.nz for more information.

We will continue to run our family fun Sunday Events once a month in cooperation with the Sweden-New Zealand Association. Information about these events will be posted on the Sweden-New Zealand Association's event page.

Svenskkuls event page will be put on hold until further notice. It is our sincere hope that someone will pick up this function sometime in the future as it has been a fantastic experience to see the kids extend their Swedish knowledge and amazing to see the friendship grow between our "Swiwi" kids of all ages.

Svenskkul is closing down the school sessions

Due to lack of school age children Svenskkul has decided to close down the Tuesday school sessions.
Since we started in 2005 we have had approximate 27 kids learning to read and write at Svenskkul. 11 of these kids are now back in Sweden and the majority of the rest have "out-grown" Svenskkul.
A big THANK YOU to all the families who helped start up and run Svenskkul's school sessions throughout the years, WELL DONE!
Since we started in 2005 we have had more than 40 playgroup children coming for a play. The majority of these kids are still in Wellington and will soon reach school age. If any of you are keen to start up the school sessions again, we are more than happy to help out. Some school material will be stored for future use. Please contact us on: svenskkul_info@sweden.org.nz

We intend to keep up with the Sunday Fun Events once a month. These events will run in cooperation with the Sweden-New Zealand Association and information will be posted on their Event page, http://swedennewzealand.blogspot.com/ (rather than on this page).

We have 2 sessions planned for the rest of this year:
- Julpyssel (Xmas craft) on the 21st November
- Children's Christmas/Luica party on the 12th December

Keep an eye out for these Events!

School holiday!!!

It's the end of Term 2 and, just as other NZ schools, Svenskkul is also taking a well deserved break.

As of next term Svenskkul will only run every 2nd Tuesday. We are a really small school group this year and as some families are only able to join in every 2nd week we have decided to only run on these weeks. Dates for next term is: 27/7, 10/8, 24/8, 7/9, 21/9.

Have a nice winter holiday!
